RESTORING DOCTOR/PATIENT RELATIONSHIPS

MAKING QUALITY HEALTHCARE AFFORDABLE

SIMPLIFYING HEALTHCARE THROUGH INNOVATION

THE CONCEPT OF PEAKMED

PeakMed Direct Primary Care empowers our doctors to provide real quality care to our members at an affordable price. Health care is not as expensive as everyone thinks. Unfortunately, a typical medical practice needs a staff of 4 to 5 people to support and process insurance coding, billing and collecting, not to mention changing patient insurance circumstances and follow-up filling. These associated costs increase the overhead of every medical practice but doesn’t do anything to improve anyone’s health.

By going direct, PeakMed avoids that costly overhead and passes that savings on to our members. PeakMed doctors have the unique privilege of seeing 1/4 the number of the patients they would have to see in a conventional primary care practice, therefore they have far more time to invest in consultations with their patients, which allows them to focus deeply on patient care –  the way it used to be in private practice decades ago!

HOW ARE WE ABLE TO CHARGE SO LITTLE FOR OUR SERVICES?

The truth is, health care is not as expensive as everyone thinks.

PeakMed does it differently. By going direct, PeakMed avoids the costly overhead, and passes that savings on to our Members. Another major benefit is that with far less administrative overhead, PeakMed doctors now have far more time to invest in consultations with Member/patients.

PeakMed’s unique business model empowers our doctors to focus deeply on patient care, handling one-fourth the number of the patients of conventional primary care doctors. Your PeakMed doctor has the time to build relationships with you and other patients and provide real quality care, at an affordable price. It’s the way it used to be in private practice decades ago! Today, we are leading the direct primary care movement and setting the example on how to deliver better health care.

Questions About Ancillary Services

ARE MY MEDICATIONS COVERED BY MY MEMBERSHIP?

PeakMed Health Centers have pharmacies on-site, and prescriptions can be filled the day of your doctor visit. No more having to make another stop at your drug store after your appointment.

Your PeakMed Membership entitles you to access our on-site pharmacy, with wholesale pricing on generic medications. Drug pricing ranges widely, but one example of a “Tier1” drug price can be as low as $1.25 for a month, to $8.00 for 3-month supply at a PeakMed pharmacy. This single benefit to PeakMed Members can save hundreds of dollars every year on medications alone.

WHAT LABS ARE COVERED WITH MY MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP?

Point of care testing is done inside the doctor’s office. Basic controlled testing such as urine dip testing, pregnancy testing, and strep are performed at no charge.

There is no charge for blood draws. Specimen samples are sent out to our testing lab partners for analysis and there is a charge for lab results.

PeakMed has relationships with testing labs which entitle our PeakMed Members to substantial savings at or near wholesale pricing on those services. For instance, an annual screening to measure thyroid, sugar (glucose), electrolyte and fluid balance, kidney function, cholesterol, and liver function can cost approximately $300 at a retail testing lab, compared to just $33 at a PeakMed partner lab.
